\u201cHe was a man of action who devoted himself to working constructively in the difficult winegrowing sector in our environment of the Langhe, firmly opposing all forms of individualism.<\/p>\n

He was acknowledged by one and all as being of the highest moral standing, so his impartiality was unquestionable.<\/p>\n

I know that for me my friend Arnaldo Rivera was one of the most respectable men of our Langhe I have ever known.\u201d<\/p>\n

ARMANDO CORDERO (1929-2017) \u2013 WINEMAKER<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the spring of 1960. I had been back for a few months from Brazil, where I had been working as a winemaker for many years. My daughter was about to be born, and I needed a job. It was proving hard to find work, and I was so disheartened I was thinking of going back abroad.<\/p>\n

The day we met, he didn\u2019t even make it necessary for me to ask him to take me on. He turned to the cellarman and said these very words: \u00abPiero, tomorrow morning this gentleman is coming to work here; his name is Armando Cordero, and he\u2019s a winemaker.\u00bb\u201d<\/p>\n
